Hi, my name is Beth Miller. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife and serve the greater Phoenix area. I first became a nurse back in 2012 graduating from Seminole State University in Oklahoma. I worked as an RN for years in a variety of hospitals and gained experience in Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, ER, liver and kidney transplant, burn unit, with my special focus being cardiac/neuro. During COVID, I like many others, hit the wall. So, I chose to be happy.
My husband likes to call it my "Midwife Crisis". I went back to school and earned my BSN in 3 months so I could start at Frontier Nursing University. I moved across country to begin training in Phoenix and had such amazing mentorship that when I finished in February 2024, I decided to stay.
So now my husband, our 2 daughters, and our 2 cats, call Mesa home and I love my job again. Helping women understand their bodies. Feel empowered by making decisions for themselves and their families. Understanding the why. It always breaks my heart when someone who has had multiple babies says to me "I never knew that". Well girl. Now you will.
I love owning my own business without a corporate ticking clock and 10 minutes to do a visit just to say, "see you next month". I love having the ability to do home visits and come sit on your couch and meet your family and pets. Whether you come into clinic or have home visits I schedule 1 hour minimum for appointments so that you can truly feel like you can not only get your questions answered and make informed choices, but I get to know the real you. So, if during labor you seem off... I notice. If during post-partum you seem off... I notice. During my time in the hospital and code team training it was always preached that statistically a code could have possibly been prevented 8 hours before if only the nurse had picked up on subtle changes. That is my goal as a nurse. I don't want to miss something major because I didn't notice. I want to do everything in my power to keep you and your baby safe.

Dread the obligatory pap-smear?? A Trauma Informed-90 min visit is standard so that we can take our time (you can even insert your own speculum if you prefer). We can discuss birth control, periods, thyroid health, and all the questions you have always wanted to ask and never had time.

Visits follow the ACOG guidelines every 1-4 weeks depending on stage in pregnancy. These happen either in clinic or in your home depending on the package you choose.
Postpartum visits happen in your home for the first 2 weeks while you rest and bond with baby and all typical "hospital testing" is performed at bedside.
